How to Save Your Sidebar Widgets

Before installing a blogger template, follow these instructions to save your widgets.

1. Go to your Dashboard>Layout>Edit HTML.

2. Now you see a code box; scroll down until you see the code shown below:


3. Copy all the widgets (they all start with b:widget id) Paste what you copied into Wordpad, Notepad or whatever document program you have.

4. Install your new template following my instructions, but DO NOT SAVE.

5. BEFORE SAVING: go back to your widgets in the document you copied them to; copy & paste them over the widgets in the code of the new template (the ones that are mine).

6. Preview to make sure everything looks good. If it is, SAVE. If not, you can always click on Clear Edits and start over.

7. Once everything looks good; SAVE.
